ISOM
is a course that is going to play a major role in ensuring that as a graduate,
I can meet the prevailing market demand for the students who can design and
consequently manage the technology-driven business decisions. As such, it is
evident that the ISOM opportunity puts me in a central position to ensure that
the business succeeds in the contemporary technology-driven world. It is
evident that the role presents positive as well as negative attributes that
will inform my success or failure in this position.
Some
of the positive attributes that I am going to realize this role include the
fact that am going to be in a position to apply information technology in
ensuring that the business can deliver in its capability as well as missions
(George Masion University, n.d). The assertion in this case that the role
allows me to ensure that a business can match the needs of its customers as
well as shareholders and at the same time ensure that technology has been
integrated effectively to accomplish this role. Further, the careers present me
with the opportunity of being involved in all the corporate investments
decisions that the business desires to make as it seeks success (Laudon &
Laudon, 2011). Through my career, it will be possible for me to ensure that all
the technology investments by the business are meant to ensure that it meets
its corporate investment objective. Lastly, the careers allow me to comprehend
the core legal issues relating to business operations, thus ensuring that I am
better equipped when it comes to the legal issue of adoption technology in
businesses.
On
the other hand, some complexities are some complexities that are involved in
the execution of his career. One of these complexities is that the fact that I
play a major role in organizational decisions implies that I have to keep on
enhancing my communication skills. Secondly, I have to deal with different
members of the organization, implying that my team leader and player skills
always have to be at the top (Barratt, Choi & Li, 2011). The last challenge
is based on the fact that considering the fast rate of technological changes in
the business industry; I always have to be aware of these changes to make sound
decisions.
In
looking at the challenges I will be facing, I will ensure that it takes part in
effective communication training to promote my communication skills. I will
additionally seek advice from the diverse team leaders in the organization and
also take part in team leadership training to advance my leadership skills.
Lastly, I will ensure that I create a team at the organization whole role will
be researching on the ideal technologies in the industry that can advance our
organization goals, thus ensuring that I am always aware of the technologies
that affect our busines
